- offers email communication as a service to patients at their request.
- must have a signed authorization from patients desiring this service.
- will never distribute email addresses to a third-party.
- will not send sensitive medical information via email.
- will respond to emails from patients within 24 hours, Monday thru Friday.
- cannot respond to emergencies via email.
- utilizes email for non-urgent questions such as refills or test results.
- may opt to have you come in for an appointment if the email takes too long to address or requires several emails in a brief time period.
- can only address via email issues related to problem(s) for which the physician has seen the patient and not new problems.
