Email Policy
In order to help facilitate communication Intown Family Practice & Sports Medicine, PC

  1. offers email communication as a service to patients at their request.

  1. must have a signed authorization from patients desiring this service.

  1. will never distribute email addresses to a third-party.

  1. will not send sensitive medical information via email.

  1. will respond to emails from patients within 24 hours, Monday thru Friday.

  1. cannot respond to emergencies via email.

  1. utilizes email for non-urgent questions such as refills or test results.

  1. may opt to have you come in for an appointment if the email takes too long to address or requires several emails in a brief time period.

  1. can only address via email issues related to problem(s) for which the physician has seen the patient and not new problems.

10. keeps a record of all patient-related email communications.
